History of Robin

There is nothing really exciting about this story so there is really no need to read it.

I first MUSHed on CyberMUSH, a mush ran by Babbage at my University. I was introduced to it by Simon, so the demise of my life can solely be blamed on him. At the time I, being my natural un-imaginative self, went by the name of Ade! which, surprisingly enough, is my real name (well, short for Adrian). I quickly became bored of using the name so decided upon a name change.

The name `Robin' came about when I was talking to an American lass with a character name of `aurora'. The topic of conversation gradually made its way to "Where to do you come from", as they all eventually do when you get talking to someone new. With my response being `Nottingham' (For all you American and other peeps that didn't know, YES NOTTINGHAM REALLY DOES EXIST IN REAL LIFE), the conversation quickly progressed onto Robin Hood, as that is what Nottingham is well known for.

`AHA!', my brain thought, as brains do, "I'll base my character around Robin Hood!", and from that moment forth I have been known as Robin.

Time passed and I, along with many other people on my degree course, became addicted to MUSHing. After the first year, well...a few weeks before the end of term really, I became one of Cyber's Wizards!=)

AbsoluteMUSH came along some time later with the birth of Foobar Internet and I became a wiz on there to help set things up.

Sadly some time during my 2nd year of my degree, Cyber became homeless and had to be packed up and stored away until a new site could be found. During this time, Absolute has flourished

Eventually came a day that I got bored of all the crap that wizzes have to put up with and resigned my wizbit and became a mear mortal again. (well...thats not strictly true. I still have access to the old character that still has a wizbit on it.)

And the rest is history!

The love of Robin

January 4th 1995, the cry of distress for a fair maiden going by the name of Electora summoned me with hope for assistance in linking in her rooms and getting it setup.

We talked for hours upon hours about ourselves and got to know a great deal of things we have in common. Days passed and I soon realised that I was in love with the lady behind Electora. One late night, while talking as usual to Electora I plucked up the currage to tell her that I had fallen in love with her. She, reluctantly, admitted that she felt the same way for me *yay*. 25th April 1996, the day before Electora's RL birthday, a smail from Electora with the word "yes" was left in my mush mail box. Not wanting to get my hopes up, but failing badly, I waited around until Electora connected and I queried her about the smail message. To my joy, the message was in response to one of my many proposals for MUSH marriage to her. A few days later, we were secretly wed.

March 27th 1997, I went over to America to meet Electora in Real Life. We got on great together. :)

To this date, Electora and I are still MUSH married. One day real marriage? Who knows? (I hope so)

Absolute Participation

I was a wiz for over a year, and over that time I actually did some work to help run absolute. Some of the stuff that is in use is
